Do You Really Know Who Your Father Is?

By Tammy Glover

“Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, the Spirit who calls out ‘Abba, Father.’ So you are no longer a slave but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you an heir.” Galatians 4:6-7

I’m not talking about your earthly father; I’m talking about our Father in Heaven. Do you know that He is talking to you, desperately trying to get your attention? He wants to take care of you and bless you. He has riches that he wants to bestow on you, wisdom He wants to impart to you and a place in paradise He wants you to spend eternity with Him.

He never wants to see you cry. He only wants to bring you joy and peace. He won’t allow you to be left alone in the dark. He always has His eyes on you. He will fight all your battles. He has a mighty army of angels protecting you.

Can you hear Him talking to you yet? He’s not going to give up on you, no matter how much of a mess you make. Don’t be afraid to run to Him. He wants to forgive you. He loves you. He has a purpose and anointing for your life. He hears and recognizes your voice. Tell Him how much you love Him and need Him. He’s waiting for your call.

It’s All About You, Lord

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O, Lord my God, I will give thanks forever.” Psalm 30: 11-12

From the moment I open my eyes in the morning, until I close my eyes at night, I will praise you Lord.

For you are my Creator, Healer, Provider and Savior.

You lift me up and safely guide me along the right paths.

You’ve blessed me in ways, I can not even fathom.

You are the Source of love and peace.

You care for me and I am your child.

Use me to be a blessing to others and to honor your name.

Let my praises unto you far outweigh my complaints and worries, because it’s not about me; it’s about You, God Almighty.

Thank you, Lord!

Stay in Praise by Tammy Glover

“I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.  I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.”  Psalm 9:1-2

This week’s message may go against your common sense.  It will certainly go against your flesh.  It will be difficult and at times it may seem impossible.  Here it is:  Stay in praise, no matter what the circumstance is.  You are a child of an Almighty God.  He has conquered this world, no we must put our trust in Him.

When you’re sick, stay in praise.  He heals.  When you’re afraid, stay in praise.  He protects.  When you’re hurting, stay in praise.  He comforts.  When bills are due, stay in praise.  He provides.  When you’re confused, stay in praise.  He has the answers.  When you feel persecuted, stay in praise.  He sees all.  When you feel rejected, stay in praise.  He’s opening doors for you.  When you feel lost, stay in praise.  He’ll meet you where ever you are.  When you make a mistake, stay in praise.  He forgives.  When you feel as if no one cares, stay in praise.  He cares for you.

He loves you.  Let me say that again.  The God, who created heaven and earth, loves you.  You are His.  How awesome it is to be covered by the Lord’s love and grace.  That alone should give you a reason to stay in praise.  PRAISE THE LORD!

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”  1 Thessalonians 5:8

Christmas, in May? By Tammy Glover

“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9:6

I know this might sound crazy, but this weekend I had an overwhelming urge to listen to Christmas carols.  Yes, I know its May but nevertheless, I went with the feeling.  As I started to listen to some of my favorite Christmas CD’s, I became overcome with emotion.  I was swept away in praise and worship.  I realized that reflecting on the precious gift of Jesus Christ, should not be just for December 25th.  The feeling of joy, giving and good will towards others should not be limited to just one month.  The gift of Jesus Christ is with us always.

I know that life can be hectic and difficult but no matter what you’re going through, stay in praise.  We are still receiving God’s ultimate gift.  Even in our darkest hour, Jesus is our light.

And its ok if you want to break out those Christmas CD’s too.

“I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14
